Environment Ministry directs states around NCR to enforce stubble burning ban.Report says, PM 2.5 levels on Diwali across each of the 11 pollution monitoring centres were anywhere between a 4-21 times of what they were the week before
The National Capital was covered by blanket of Smog during Diwali festival . In a move to check the alarming levels in Air pollution , Ministry of Environment and forest directed states around Delhi to enforce stubble burning ban .
In a statement, The Ministry directed the Municipal bodies in Delhi to prevent the burning of Solid waste
The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change reviewed the ambient air quality status of Delhi here today, in the light of the rising levels of PM 2.5 and PM 10, especially during Diwali this year.
Also, The Ministry has summoned the concerned Secretaries of NCR States on 4th November to review the situation.
