Meet our hero Rajagopal. 17 years back he inherited a small piece of land in Chikkaballapura(Karnataka) along with Rs 70,000 debt as a share. He had no formal education, all he knew was riding Bullock cart.Initially he rode Bullock Cart for his living but this alone could not suffice the cost of living.
In 2011 he constructed a small shed in the land he had inherited from his father and bought 5 cows form the small savings he had. He was able to produce 110 liters of milk daily. This was just the begining . By the year end cows increased to 10.
In 2013 he borrowed 5 lakh rupees loan form bank and bought additional 12 cows. Today there are more than 40 cows in his farm. Today he produces 350 Liters of milk daily or approximately 10500 litrers of milk per month!! . He earns Rs 28 for every liter of milk ( including Govt incentives).
Minimizing cost, Maximizing profit
To reduce the expenditure on cattle feed, he collects leftovers from nearby APMC yards. He has also grown Cow grass in his farm. These techniques help him to reduce the burden of buying cattle feed.
He also sells cow dung and earns around 2 lakh per annum from it . He has been recognized by many co-operative societies. He has also won many awards for his achievements.
This man proves that if you have a zeal to achieve and work hard with dedication nothing can stop you from reaching the success. He has proved success in farming and set an example for today's youths. You can contact him at 98456 22370 for any guidance or suggestions.
